If anything, this is just a first step to more tie-in VR experiences they work with Amazon, Netflix, NBC, CBS, et al, so hopefully we'll get some VR experiences for shows like The Man in the High Castle, Star Trek, Netflix's Marvel stuff, et cetera. ![]() Note: This particular "VR experience" was developed by CBS Digital, not by a game studio or game developers. Think of it like a big-name actor who does a tentpole movie every year or two and then produces and stars in several indie films in between-ooh, or more accurately, like all the voice-over work celebrities do in ads it doesn't actually take a lot of their time, but it does allow them the financial freedom to invest the bulk of their time in the projects they care about. You could look at it that way, or you could look at it as: Giving more developers more tools & experience developing for VR, plus more money which (hopefully they aren't simply breaking even on a pre-paid deal like this) can help support studios while they work on "real games".
